A pipe usually fails inside a wall cavity, which means the visible damage is only a fraction of what's actually happening behind the drywall.
We open the wall cavity carefully, only as far as moisture readings say is necessary, rather than tearing out an entire wall.
Our Southport, IN technicians locate the main or local shutoff valve immediately if it hasn't been closed already.
We use pressure testing and moisture tracing to locate exactly where a supply line failed inside the wall.
We open wall cavities in a controlled, targeted way based on documented moisture data.
Our Southport, IN team works alongside your plumber or one we can refer, so the repair and drying stay coordinated.
A burst pipe call has a specific sequence — find the source, stop it, open only what's necessary, and coordinate repair — here's how our Southport, IN crews run it.
Stopping active water flow happens before any cleanup step.
We locate the failure point before opening any drywall, avoiding guesswork demolition.
We extract from within the cavity itself, not just the surface that's visible.
Targeted removal limits the repair scope to what's actually necessary.
Drying continues until wall cavity moisture readings hit dry standard.
Our Southport, IN team can refer or work alongside a plumber so mitigation and repair stay on the same timeline.
We'll walk you through locating the shutoff valve over the phone if needed.
Equipment for wall cavity work is brought along by default for burst pipe calls.
You'll see the scope and cost once the failure point is confirmed.
We verify wall cavity moisture readings hit dry standard and confirm plumber repair is scheduled before closing the file.
"They found our shutoff valve in about thirty seconds since we had no idea it existed, then got straight to work on the wall." — Holly T.
"Only opened up the section of wall that was actually wet instead of the whole thing. Saved us a lot on drywall repair." — Andre L.
"They coordinated directly with our plumber so the pipe got fixed the same week the wall was already open." — Priscilla W.
We can confirm which you're dealing with during the initial assessment.
Only the compromised section comes out, not the full wall.
We can refer a plumber or work alongside yours to keep the timeline aligned.
If you can safely reach it, shut off the water at the main or local valve to stop the flow.
Most burst pipe jobs dry out within about a week, similar to other structural drying timelines.
